The “Lost to Leader” paradigm—a spiritual multiplication pathway that helps connect lost people to Jesus so that they become the future multiplying leaders of new, thriving churches.
A Pathway That Starts in the Harvest When Gary Smith participated in a Church Movements USA, workshop at Exponential 2025, he knew he had found his ‘people.’ “Very few people in church planting are talking about apostolic leadership today. Cru is helping us rediscover that.” Gary joined our CFCM, church planting residency, this year. Joseph met him this past September as Joseph was one of the trainers for CFCM and Gary loved Cru’s evangelism process, Co-Journers. Gary brought it back to the New England States in the Northeast and people are coming to Christ through the church plants.

Gary serves as the Church Planting Director for Alliance New England, part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance (CMA).
While other programs focus heavily on classroom training, this partnership is deeply experiential. Cru’s tools equip planters to engage people from the harvest field, disciple them into leadership, and multiply communities of faith.
What’s happening is already bearing fruit. “People are coming to Christ every week,” Gary says.

As this network grows—currently with 30 church planters across New England—have partnered with Cru Church Movements in the Lost to Leader Paradigm.
“I want to see a movement where the church is measured not by how many people gather on Sunday,” Gary says, “but by how many gospel conversations we’re having.”
It’s a radical reorientation. The church service is no longer the end game—Jesus to the nations is.
Over the weekend, we gathered for our 3rd Annual Alumni Event — and what happened in that room was nothing short of extraordinary.

There were hugs, laughter, deep conversations, and so many tears. The good kind. The kind that only come when people feel truly seen, truly celebrated, and truly home. Tears that finally feel safe enough to fall.
24 women joined us for our 3rd Annual Alumni Event — more than double the number from last year. Twenty of them were with us in person. One of our alumni drove in from Nevada. Another boarded a plane from Boston just to be in the room.
Women who had once walked through some of the darkest chapters of their lives sat together, shoulder to shoulder, and spoke of transformation. They shared where they are now — the jobs, the confidence, the peace — and they gave credit to each other, to this community, and to the Every ONE Free community of supporters.
One survivor captured it beautifully: “A lot of Human Trafficking orgs help us to get out but once we are out, the help stops. Every ONE Free stands in the gaps of this and really is there for transformation and every day life.”
Another alumna, voice full of gratitude, reflected on who she used to believe she was, and who she knows herself to be now: “I never felt I was capable, marketable, or worthy of having a real job or a resume until I met EOF.”

Thank you for partnering with us as Michelle serves as the case manager with EveryOne Free. For helping us celebrate the incredible women in this community who have overcome so much and have not lost hope. Your generosity makes moments like this possible, and we are very grateful to have you alongside us in this work.
Thank you for your continual prayers and support to us here as we minister withing Los Angeles and nationwide. Helping to train and disciple leaders, plant churches and serve trafficked and exploited women through sharing the love of Jesus and providing resources and hope.
